Magic Carpet® Ski Lift
Technical Description
Terrain-Following Design
- Foundation not required
- Minimal ground preparation
- Support leg assemblies adjust and pivot for ground slope differences
Tail/Load Section
- Set level to allow smooth loading
- Allows up to 15 degree angle from loading platform to first lift section
- Self-cleaning tail pulley helps remove ice and snow from inside the belt
- Screw-type or automatic belt take-up maintains belt tension independent of temperature and load variations
Typical Intermediate Sections
- 3 meters/10 feet long
- Plastic slider bed reduces belt friction
- Continuous edge guide system and return belt ensure proper belt alignment
Head/Drive Section
- Unit set level with a built-in 8 degree decline to facilitate discharge
- Safety relief plate
- Shaft-mounted, inverter duty, premium efficiency gear motor
- Separately powered, sturdy nylon bristle brush helps to clean snow and ice off belt
- Oversized drive pulley, shafts and bearing for more surface friction and better belt traction
Electrical Control Panel
- AC Variable Speed Drive with choice of electrical input power
- NEMA 4 enclosure
- Quick connects for motors and control power
- Remote mounted
Hook and Pin Connecting Joints
- Easy installation at all connecting joints
- Allows up to 5 degree convex or 2 degree concave angular change per joint
Belting

- Stainless steel, heavy-duty splice for easy field installation
- Different carcass constructions optimize belt strength depending on motor power
Support Legs
- Manually set with gravity pin connection for season-long stability
- Adjustable to 36 inches standard
- Can be anchored to any solid surface (i.e. soil or timber)
Walkways
- Optional 450mm/18-inch wide walkway extensions with artificial snow surface
